I made a visit. Recruited the Merchant , Nurse, and bomb guy.

Finally solved my debilitating lag problems so I'm back in business. I'll stop by tonight if I have time and do some work.

Once I had the mechanic recruited I started hooking up the statues I've collected to a pressure plate to see if they did anything. I had a bunny statue that spawned up to 5 bunnies on the screen.
When I came back to town during a blood moon the Zombies had been triggering the statue and it was spawning corrupt bunnies! I found if I stood behind the pressure plate the bunnies would run towards me and trigger even more bunnies to spawn. There were at least a 50 corrupt bunnies at a given time. I would wait for the screen to fill up then jump down into hoard and slaughter them all with the Demon Scythe spell book. I got two bunny hoods and at least 15 gold doing this, I could have got more though. Wish I took a better screenshot. I'll try it again next blood moon.

Awesome. Do the star statues spawn stars? I havent really played with 1.1 much yet.

The star statue I had spawned a mana star. Like what enemies drop when you kill them with magic.
Besides the bunny and star, I have bomb, bird, bat, and crab statues that generate stuff. I've seen a blob statue used in a video. Weapon statues don't do anything.

I had 3 blood moons in a row, is that normal? It looked like the bunnies stopped spawning at a certain point, but I couldn't count them all. They managed to kill me a couple times. There were so many that the magic scythe wouldn't spin forward.

I built some nice stuff in the server tonight; sawmill, loom, and the beginnings of a village. It's all off to the left if you want to see it. The chests under my house are mine, but feel free to take some heart crystals, because I have around thirty of the things.

Tomorrow I'm going to try and fight Cthulhu and get started on acquiring all the new 1.1 goodies. Any idea where you're supposed to combine accessories (ex. Hermes + Rocket Boots = Zephyr Boots(?))? I've tried most every conventional place, Hellforges and Demon Alters included, but it never comes up.

You have to buy a tool station thing from the Goblin outcast. Like the mechanic, he'll join the city after you find him bound up. In my world, I found him by close to the hell zone. I didn't have any money to buy stuff from him and a bat knocked him into the lava and he died. But a new one will come to town as long as you have a room for him. I could probably bring mine station over, I already made a obsidian horseshoe and cloud-in-a-balloon.

I just beat the wall of flesh and unlocked hardmode in my world. Holy crap, I can't dig in peace without some monster sneaking up behind me, and they take a while to kill. Not the one-hit kills I'm use too. I unlocked the new ores too. Can't build any mythril or adamant gear until I make a mythril anvil first. But my cobalt drill cuts through rock like butter!

I'm wanting to look for NPCs, so when can we fight Skeletron to get into the dungeon?

I have already fought the eye twice on the server. I ran all the way over to the dungeon, but didnt fight him yet. I was exploring more so. You guys want to plan on getting on Thursday the 8th at say.. 6:30pm MST(8:30 EST) to play?

I built a bridge over to the dungeon. It's still a 5min walk but a lot faster.

Its not letting me connect for some reason.

It is back up now. Sorry for the outage. My kids reset the computer. I have already scolded them and set it to a none accessible machine, so that this shouldn't happen again. Not to say that power outage is out of the question though.

I am pretty sure my Hell was specifically made to make me ragequit the Wall of Flesh. After three attempts I finally get the thing down to ~1K HP only to get trapped in a false tunnel and proceed to be corner raped until death. Wasted all my stars for my star cannon, too.

Also, it's alright, Gubid; we didn't miss anything.

This game is extraordinary. It takes the building and mining of minecraft and puts it jointly with the equipment and dungeon creeping of a side scrolling action RPG. The concept of game is totally unique from other games.

If anyone is still playing this, I'm active over on the game's forums. Plenty of servers to choose from there. Just be careful and stuff; a lot of servers run for a couple days and out of the blue shut down forever so keep track of the rep of hosts.

My server is still up and running btw. Connection info is in my siggy.

Wall of Flesh has already been defeated, so its probably not the best 'gonna start playing for the first time' server. :)
