Or you could just upload it to Scirra's Arcade.

I just wrote a super long post about their arcade and my theories about what HBgames will produce with construct 2. But I decided to keep it to myself and see if any of it holds true.

I just got home from my weekend trip. Tomorrow I'll take a look at C2.

The hope is to eventually set up our own arcade, if we can work out how. But that's for the future.

What happens if an Awesome Bro places in one of the top three spots? I ask because I'm going to be competing, which makes a total of two competitors who already have the rank. (And at the moment, I am unaware of anyone else who is actually competing)

Yes, you're included in that. I don't know about any of the others, but I do know you've posted a thread for your entry already.

Edit: Also, it's conqueror, not conquer. Two different variations of the same base. You used the verb, the one you need is the pronoun.

Between work, learning the software, Spring break the last week of March. Oh and since I pre-ordered rpgmaker Ace I'll want to play with that next week. I'm going to have to plan my time carefully.

I drew a game concept on paper last night. It's about fish and it's all controlled with a mouse. I messed around with sprite movement last night. Gunna work on the core gameplay tonight. I'll post a development thread once I have more then just a working idea.

Hey, I don't know how many of you have checked out the arcade section of their website, but these rotary games are pretty inspiring and use the engine to its potential - http://www.scirra.com/arcade/addicting-rotary-games

This was pretty awesome until I saw the hoops you had to go through to allow someone else to play your game. Don't exactly have a server or website sitting around....

As a response to anyone who is worried about this:

If you follow the basic tutorial linked on the start page of the Construct 2 program highlighted below..

Image

Once you get to the conclusion, you'll see a link to a page describing how to share your project on Dropbox..

Image

Follow this link and the very simple instructions that are listed on the page. Dropbox is free storage for anyone, and the public folder it provides for sharing files works excellently with exported Construct 2 projects. All you need to do in order to share your game is upload your project files and copy/paste the public link to your index.html file. (This process is even easier if you have the Dropbox desktop application installed.)

Once I finished making the tutorial project, it took me all of 5 seconds to get my project shared through my Dropbox.

Now that you know, please don't let the hosting requirement scare you away from completing a Construct 2 project! If you're a bit overwhelmed by the system (if you're not much of a programmer, you probably should be!) then you should definitely check out the tutorial link I highlighted for you above. It's really not that difficult to get into!

Additionally, if you want some personal support from your pal Tuna, come find me on #hbgames (if you're lucky enough to catch me when I'm not at work) or send me a PM and I will be happy to help with any problems you're having getting started!

Let's see some more Construct 2 project threads, guys! I know you can do it!

You could also use a browser frame, Mozilla has something for that or you could toss together a small webkit frame with webkitgtk

The emphasis here was making it as simple as possible for people who may not be technically inclined.

Unfortunately iFrames are deprecated and not all browsers are webkit :[

Yes, HTML5 games work in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer 9-10+, as well as other various WebKit-based browsers.

Technically, yes, but you will be losing money. PayPal takes out 2.9% of total amount sent plus $0.30. So if we sent you $300, they'd be taking out approx. $9 from that.
I don't like giving companies money just to transfer numbers from one database to the next. Plus, PayPal is kind of an asshole of a company.
{Outside of the U.S., there are additional fees as well!}

However, if PayPal is the most convenient for you, and you don't mind losing some of the money due to transfer costs, we can send you the money via PayPal as well.

It's all about making YOU happy, baby.
