OVERVIEW

FAREWELL is a Dark-fantasy RPG with themes of corruption and religion.
It's year 614, in Hitrea, island large enough only to fit a city, and 2 small suburbs. The island is the center of religion for the surrounding islands.
Asea, the main character of the story, is living day by day without much content. He has lived in comfort for all his life - his father a prominent church figure, going to a good school, food and shelter plenty. He was brought up a follower of the church by his father, and does not question his father's beliefs.
But when he meets a girl named Saika, who has a complete opposite view of the church, he finds himself following her into activism and eventually crime.
As the church's true colors are revealed, Asea digs deeper into the grounds of a plot that if not stopped, will destroy the world.

TEAM BIO

Currently the team only consists of me and my composer, Jonas Bredesen. However, we have made good process into it with what we have and what we can make so far. We've worked on this game for about a year and a half now.


WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR

Mapper(s) - I have tried, but frankly I cant do it. I can make custom tiles to your fitting, though. This game is going to span many maps, so multiple mappers will probably be necessary.

Scripter - I can do most of the scripting. I just need someone who can fix a few bugs. It wont be too often you do stuff. It's a small job.

Pixel Artist - Somebody who can do a few charactersets, not too many. Another small job

Pixel Artist 2 - I plan on original battlers for a side view battle. But I'm not very experienced with animation. I need somebody who can make some templates/stick figures to show me how the characters should move. And possibly make a few enemies if they're up to it. Somebody who has some experience with animation and pixel art would fit here.

I could be the second pixel artist, I am quite experienced in battle animations for character movement and also a good spriter...you can notice a little of my experience in my avatar...I guess I could do some kind of apportation in your recruitment....if you like....

Is there any specifications about the battle animations...?

I've dl'd the file and there seems to be a prob with opening the game from the proj. file..
Map cant be found/loaded..

Besides that, i see that you've taken the time to make the large tileset working with passage and such!
I'm usually too lazy for that stuff and tend to use tilesets that are more clear. I get frustrated when i can use/see to much tiles. But that's just me. I can work around that. However, in the long run it might be better to use the smaller tilesets (size's 'n stuff)

And from what i've seen from the mapping, it's not so bad!
There is one prob. with the bush autotile, having no background (white spots everywhere o.O) but i can't check it in game due to the error. And i'm liking the custom tile sets! They look great and go with the char's you've made!

You've made quite the few maps too. Only the minor things like using the correct heights in your cliffs (look at the mapping workshop by bacon) and you tend to make the maps "big". Example the insides of the houses. These can be somewhat smaller.

But, all in all, it looks like i could help out :D

Thanks for checking it out. A missing map? Oh dear, I didn't get that issue.

Yeah the big tileset is much more convenient for me, but I'm not the one mapping... If you want smaller tilesets you can use those.

The reason for the bush tiles having missing backgrounds is because I changed the bush tile after these maps were made.

I made absolutely NO maps in there :) (except the school and the TEST map)

Can I suggest not "hiring" a scripter if they're just going to be fixing errors?

It's a lot quicker to just post occasional issues like that on HBGames/wherever else you go and let the hivemind deal with it rather than waiting for a specific person to tackle an issue they may not care in the least about. it's always worked for me ;P

I might try working with you again sometime. On some smaller maps. It'd be slow going since I'm in school now and have other things going but I still map stuff occasionally.
