Why is my name in the OP credits? Ahh, it's some VB autoname script. It's probably already been discussed in this thread, but is that really the best thing to do?

May I point out that compared to all the other userbars I've been seeing, yours are a few pixels smaller? By the way, that's a nice template.

The template is very nice, can you PM me any suggestions on how to sprite on it, like palettes and stuff would be helpful because I don't really know how to sprite on it yet.

@danyo34 - Yes I've noticed but have been a tad lazy about it, but the good side to that is if it is in a row of userbars the length will make it stand out more.

Well, nothing much happened, I got a pretty different team, and I have finally gotten myself to at least start something of my project, I still don't have the rpg activation code yet because i've lost it, so I'm on the trial version. A few insignificant changes happened though.

it looks really nice, and I bet that everyone has lazy days, weeks, and years. I've made the outfit black instead of blue because I think the blue went a bit overkill. Other then that it looks fantastic!

The eyes look a bit odd, like she's permanently depressed or something. It's still really good nonetheless. By the way, shouldn't you be doing this over PMs?

StarGGundam2 - The sprite looks really nice so far, and I kinda agree with danyo34, the eyes do look a bit depressing, can you make them look more neutral please?

Danyo34 - I think that this could be discussed in pms and all, but i think it might be more interesting to have these updates and work progresses in here so we can get a bit of feedback and stuff.

If I did this over PMs. You would have never told me the eyes looked odd. Therefore I wouldn't have the constructive criticism necessary to change things. I may have a big head, but I make faults that I need other people to show me where I did wrong or I'll be blinded by my own ego.

I went back to the original RTP style eyes. I noticed that the eyes did look permanently sad after someone said something, I'm not sure how to fix it other than to just change styles.

The eyes look better but now she looks like she is demoniacally evil, so I made the eye color different, you can still see the red but it doesn't make her look evil, but nice job anyways!

After reading everything from the initial post, I think it would be best if I start off by complimenting your presentation and writing ability. Part one, is very detailed, to the point where I assume that you intended to write this as a book. The story seems very well thought out. Now although you have a nice balance of characters, I believe that as a whole, their characteristics are a little to cliched. However, since this feels like it will turn out to be a traditional fantasy rpg, (apologies if I'm mistaken), this may not matter at all. It's just that it's 2010 and it would be refreshing to see a new spin on commonly used characteristics for a hero and his/her party members.

As for game play, I'm getting the impression that the story is going to be a somewhat linear one that will take up a lot of time to explain, leaving little time for actual game play. But this is just speculation of what could potentially happen, since there is no actual game to play. This is just the vibe I am getting, but I hope I am wrong, because this is a game I would like to play but if there isn't a good blend of story and game play, (and it's just press space bar to see the next text like a visual book), then I will get turned off very quickly since I get bored easily. (A.D.D. :box:)

I chose side view battle system in your poll, simply because I honestly hate the default battle system, because a picture is not as personalized as an actual sprite.
Any other battle system is fine but I just dislike the default.

Overall, I like the way this game is shaping up and I love the fact that you are assembling a team to get an original feel. (i.e. no rtp, wish we were all as lucky).
This project is promising but it also looks like it's a ways away from completion, so I do hope you maintain your commitment and focus, as I would love to play this someday.

Thanks for commenting, and for one thing, your right about the linear part, the battle system is going to be really hard to explain, I'll let you in on a hint, but not a lot of characters are gonna be alive after the game ends, I'd say 1-6 characters will be alive :). And I should probably update the characters and find a less cliche way for them, Most of them are half some type of animal, I'll try and change that somehow, I'll work on it, and thank you again for the nice criticism.

Ok, so I'm going to use the sideview battle system, but i have no idea where to start, so can anyone give some links to any sideview systems? I'll starting another poll on which one to use if i can't make up my mind. :3

If you're going to use a sideview system, the one you want is Atoa's. It's the most customizable, and it is, as No ID said, the best one out there.

I did a side-view battle system once that didn't require me to draw sprites. There are some out there like that. O.o

@StarGGundam2 - Yah, but I guess we both could be able to sprite all the npc's and characters, but i feel like I'm asking for too much out of you though.
And also, the sprite looks really nice.

@StrawberryFlower - well I'm going to use Atoa's battle system, and I'm really already done with the configuring for it, so i don't think I should waste my 24 hour effort and switch to the tankentai (which is the only one I've seen which don't need an animated sprite.)

Yeah, I mainly said because Star was signed in as me when he give you the sprite, so we had to edit my post to say something else so he could sign in himself. XD

I hear Atoa is very customizable. I always wanted to see a game with a battle transition as awesome as Chrono Trigger (google/youtube it if you don't know). :)

If you're making userbars for nearly all of the characters, then I don't see why you shouldn't make some for the team members. I'm not just saying that because I'm on the team either.
