As I see this site is full of experts and hobbyists, I was wondering if there is someone who has worked with exporting RPG Maker Playstation 1 games into standalone Playstation 1 game (ROM) or CD?

Unfortunately RPG Maker on the PS1 stores the games on the memory card; there's no way to export to CD.

Maybe with a backwards compatible ps3 you can transfer save files to your computer. I think I tried that once to continue a save file with an emulator but the emulator's save format was different than the card's.

There must be a way to do it as they share games on www.pavilionboards.com, but I'm not sure they'd be playable as PSX games - the save file just contains a very small amount of data, the actual game engine is still on the RPG Maker disk.

They're still around!?

I remember messing with RPG Maker 3 so much, but hating it's limited nature.

Looks like you use a gameshark like thing and that it only stores data, not games. No way to export them as full games at all.
