Looking at the preview, it looks pretty awesome.  I dig it.

It's a nice edit! It's not even a big edit but it's still nice enough that a good mapper could make something really awesome from it.

Edit: If I were you I'd recolor the edge of the lava autotile to the new brown color. Right now it's still the black from the lava cave tileset..

Thanks you two, if you can think of anything else the tileset is missing i'll add it. I'm surprised no one else (to my knowledge) has made a volcano tileset before.

Looks pretty smexy.  Biggest thing I noticed is that the top of the volcano looks like it's at the wrong angle, like it's pointing towards the viewer instead of straight up, which, the way the lava sits in it now, would mean that the lava ought to be oozing out all the time.

Otherwise, it's awesome.

yeah I see what you mean there, it's just one of the outcomes when working with the same angles that RM uses. I might just try to make a Top 1b and a Top 2b where it makes the volcano look more vertical.

Nope, cause it tiles horribly! It just doesn't look or feel like a volcano, I don't know what it is!

i think the huge volcano looks rather cool. You gonna release it too?

It just the small one, tiled to make bigger. there are a whole bunch of errors with it though, you can see them all on the side of the mountain.

I replaced the tileset in the first post with the newer bigger volcano, but yeah after a nights sleep I fell a little more up to making it tile friendly so give me a bit and I'll release a better one, sorry for any inconvenience.

Sidenote: Since I'm not to gifted at making tiles that tile well (i.e. the volcano to make bigger then it is on the tileset) if you're more skilled at that then be my guess just upload your version here too so everyone can get it.

Hmm... I think it's a nice attempt but you might want to add a few 'connect' pieces that you can add to make auto tiles work with the volcano's overflow work, or allow you to expand the volcano without it looking like a weird stack.

Clear lava 1 Connects to Lava Over Flow weather it's onto of it or below it ;).

When you are adding a new tileset, under Name and Tileset Graphic, there is a list of what autotiles you have on your map. Autotiles basically work the same way water do, or carpets. ;)
