hey is there going to be anti fire measures and stuff like that~
also for pvp is the policy (try not to break people's bases just loot and stuff)

Of course there are anti-fire measures. It's too dangerous letting a bunch of chillens run around and start fires. Someone makes a flint n' steel, or an errant lightning bolt slaps down, and then boom, all these giant tree forests and mangroves and jungles I've been carefully crafting go up in smoke >:|

Also, for PvP, it's discouraged that you should demolish buildings, but people should know that you build on the PvP continent at your own risk, and that there are only select elements of a scant number of structures that are protected from harm!
(The main city and a portion of the team bases' outer walls, that is.)

I am working on the prison right now.

Should I make this prison be a dungeon instead, and have a giant labyrinth that the offender(s) have to escape on release?

Or should I just go with normal griefers' prison that people are normally released from?

Wait why is that a question. Having a labyrinthian dungeon that is hard to escape would be a rather fitting punishment for people who deserve to be thrown into it! >:]

(In case you are wondering, I will have a command for myself and a special usergroup to toss people into jail for behaving very badly!)
(I'll go over what offenses net what punishment later. But they'll be pretty lax.)

Ven, I thought I might as well give you a heads-up, in case you use mcbans. Due to a recent update to mcbans, I can no longer login to most servers that use it. It isn't because I've been banned from anywhere (I haven't), and it isn't because I have somehow personally offended the mcbans staff (I haven't). It's because I've logged into minecraft at college, which, due to other people there who play, gives me too many "alt accounts" to login to servers that use the default config options.

I won't. I'm going on a whitelist. If I ban you, I kick you and remove you from the whitelist.
Seemed like the simplest method of evading griefers and keeping people with alts from borking PvP team structure.

Everything is almost ready for a super great release, right after 1.9 comes out. But I still am not sure what to do about the giant stadium!

Here's where you tell me what to do with it ;).

Remember, there will probably be more stadiums in the future -- this will just be for the 1st official stadium we'll have at the beginning of the server.

Ven, also to give you a heads-up, 1.9 isn't coming out. They are going to do pre-releases until the main release, and that is when it is 'finished'.

well: bad news~~ I'm about to go on vacation in a few days, and I won't be back until November 6th. So when I get back from vacation, I will be starting this thing like gangbusters. With gusto.

Millenaire, IndustrialCraft a bit unbalanced The Aether and I can go on and on and on...
A mod with better mobs would also do.

Ah, that would be possible. But whatdya mean with bukkit-compatible? Those mods are SSP, but I thought that Spout made SSP mods possible in SMP. Well, here are the links:

Well no, it does if someone adapts the code etc. to be Spout-friendly. When I look for links for plugins, I look for them to be located on the Bukkit site only :)
(i.e. http://bukkit.org)
(I have enough to do w/o trying to code new plugins here) :P

If we're gonna have money, we might as well get MoneyDrop so that people can collect their rupees in the classic way.

SpoutEssentials might be worth a look, but it depends on what you already have established and what you want.

Pathogen Player Lives sounds alright, but I'm biased because I personally hate losing my shit. Infinite lives + cash penalty upon death = Dragon Quest rules.

Global Chest Banking adds Resident Evil storage crates. Everyone who uses one accesses their own private account.

Also there's one for new arrow types! Could be fun.
