Hi all,
I think I will try to create a game called Newton's Cannon and submit it to this contest.

Edit: I just started the game. It will involve firing a cannon at objects in the distance and will involve some knowledge of physics. This way, people will be able to learn physics by playing the game.

By all means, join the contest. But please don't start a new thread with just a sentence. You need to tell us what your project is about and give us a couple of screenshots. Otherwise, the thread is simply garbage.

I added some more information. Once I have a working game up, I will post it too.

Well, that seems nice. It reminds me of a game I saw the other day in the App store.

OK, I created a rough version of 1 level in the game. It needs some improvement, and then I will add some in-game discussion of the physics, and a couple more levels.

The game can be played here:

The game now exists in a rough version. There are 3 levels:
1 - Fire at the right time to hit the dropping objects.
2 - Fire at the right angle to hit objects further away.
3- After beating level 2, get control of cannon angle and how much gunpowder to use to hit final targets.

The game is available on: http://newton.zappable.com/

I guess I should post this as a new post. There are 4 levels in the game:

1 - Fire at the right time to hit the dropping objects.
2 - Fire at the right angle to hit objects further away.
3- After beating level 2, get control of cannon angle and how much gunpowder to use to hit final targets.
4- Fire into space orbit to hit bizarre space hawks attempting to hit Earth.

The game is available on: http://newton.zappable.com/

I combined the two threads into the same thread. No need to make new threads for updates; just post on your existing project topic please :D

It is nice but as advices you should fix:

- Some way to return back to the main menu when in help screen altough maybe that is because you are short in events (can help)
- Apparently in 'Aiming and power' mode the only way to win is to push the left/right side of the red blocks, would be better if you take into account when the ball push the upper side
- In orbiting mode i had to just find a way to make the ball fired in a stable orbit, then just fired repeatedly and wait, a bit too easy :p

Thank you for your feedback.
I added in a Main Menu button to the help page.
I think the bricks will be destroyed from wherever the cannonball hits it, but it may sometimes bounce off.
I added in growing blobs into the orbit level to make the game more complex.
Thanks!

Fun game arikrak :) It took me a while to to hit the falling eggs but then I suck at physics it's amazing I even finished collage. lol I like the whole educational game concept. Maybe for your next game you could make a submarine game and, call it Archimedes Sub. lol :D

Good luck with the contest :)
