You mean- is it possible to rename the subforum after it's already been made? Then yes.

Send all cash payments to me for food.

If you want to send cash you might be out of luck, unless a staff member's willing to Paypal it for you. Like sixty. (he's a thief dont)

Heh, don't other RPG Maker forums do this for free? (I know at least one does)

Well it's a good idea anyway...although a bit expensive considering what it is :x

Ice,

Its a donation.  You're not buying a subforum.  You're receiving it as a thank you for donating x amount of dollars.  In this case for twenty dollars or an additional fifteen, if you're already a sponsor.  You do it to give back.  Your standard 501c3's do this all the time.  Non-profits that is.

You know how you could watch something on TV, a telephone drive asking you to donate for a cause?

I mean, they'll give you a shirt.  It's not a great shirt, and your donating more money than it took to make the shirt.  Hell you could've, if they sold the shirt in stores, bought it for cheaper than your donating for.  But the shirt isn't why your donating.
It's just, like "aww, that was nice - here you go, have a gift"

Running a site this large is expensive. Ask shadow :x

But it's pretty sweet to have all your junk plugged somewhere that you're going to always end up going to anyway :).

Yeah personally I hope out of all this what we end up with is some of the really good teams here getting a nice quiet place to discuss their projects.

Obviously the motivation of paying for hosting costs is involved but the object in my mind is to strike a balance between the increased overhead of a full-fledged, opened to the public community management system and the need for serious and talented people to have a more convenient way to work on their projects when getting their own site is outside their ability or desire.  I'm not really interested in the idea of private forums just for cliques to futz around in and I hope that's not what it turns into.

Not that I have a humongous amount of pull around here, but I thought I'd share my sentiments publicly :)

I had/have my own forum elsewhere.
But honestly the traffic never got much.  I've seen quite a few, and unless your whole exclusive point is to have devteam discussion, your fine elsewhere - but, generally it's expected that if your a member here, your team will most likely be members here.  Why visit multiple sites if your simply going to be heading here to .org anyway?

If you don't want to have your own site, or pay for the cost, it's not a bad deal.
And remember, I'm not just an administrator, I'm also a client *shiny smile*

We're working on it. We need to update the sponsor benefits & process to match the new forum software & administration.

Thank you for your patience, We'll have it back up ASAP

Be Well
