Don't worry, I'm still working on this VERY slowly, for example the last time I opened the project was... *goes to check*... the 25th, so 5 days ago.

In that hour long session, I started tinkering around with an idea for a new AI that will aid the player, maybe it'll be in a new game mode, or maybe I'll add it into the current mode(s) to make them a little more hectic. I was also looking at a way to make Time Trial a little more... accessible, since I've had other people playing the game recently (From other forums too) and they've said it feels unfair sometimes because of the way the enemies spawn, and you're asked to do too much in too little time. I sort of agree and disagree with this since it's supposed to be challenging anyway, and obviously it needs a timer to be called a time trial, but I guess sometimes it can be a little unforgiving based on the spawns...

I'm not sure how long it'll take me before I can release a new update to this with enough content to feel fresh and not like "Oh... he changed the way the enemies move, big fucking woop", I want you be like "Oh cool he's added a new game mode, new enemies and new weapons, yay!"

Basically, I sort of want you guys to forget about this for now, so when I can unveil new features and such, you can treat it as a new release, but between now and then I may post a little progress here and there, although it won't be anything to be hyped up, otherwise when I tell you about delays you'll hate me for it D:

Shut up, it's coming eventually, just pretend the game isn't even released yet, so when it comes out, you'll be more excited to play it! D:

It seems weird that sometimes a tank spawns as the first enemy, really there could be like a scale of enemies which spawn at different times (sort of like in GTA where your wanted level goes up and so different police go after you I guess), like it starts off squad cars and then gradually they send the FBI and then the army after you with rockets and tanks and shit.

The squares could also be made to look like people running away from you but that might be a bit too graphic I dunno?

Well if you notice, everything in the game is squared anyway, and trying to make them actually look like people is a hard thing to do, while still retaining the style of the game, y'know? I'm also thinking that, in a future update, I'll change the blood colour from red to a sort of cyan colour, and the colour of the vehicles to match too, although I'll still be keeping towards a good:evil scheme so you'll know the difference. But I'm not too sure, it depends on the reaction from people when I release screenshots and such.

I won't be working on this much until sometime later anyway, so I can worry about that in the future.

I'll also be adding new systems and such, and will try to work on the AI, and like I said back then, I actually worked on friendly AI, it didn't go TOO well, but I'm sure I'll manage it somehow. I'm wanting it to feel like a whole new game when the FULL release is done, and there will definitely be more game modes too.

Doing a cyan color would make it looks like tron?
You could do like an orange or something to contrast with the blue and still get the sense that it is guts.
New AI sounds really cool. Especially friendly ones. Good luck on this~

Yeah, exactly like Tron, since the game is set actually IN the internet, where everything is cyber and stuff (You ARE part of the cyber police after all, lol), but I'll see what orange looks like, since yeah it'd definitely contrast the blue, however, the bullets are also orange, but they could always change too...

I'll most likely end up picking this back up before the end of the year and release something around Christmas time.

I really would like to expand this into something bigger too, make more games based off the grid and such, since y'know, there's a lot that could be done with it.

At the moment though, my focus is primarily on Project Ogre (Not the proper name like Project GRID, since I DO actually have a name for it) which I still work on for a few hours a week, it's coming along slowly too, but I'll have more to show off at once, since I haven't really revealed too much except a brief section of the story and a few gameplay ideas, but I could probably put some screenshots up this early actually.

No that's cool, and I think bringing that storyline into it somehow would be great, no harm in a non-realistic graphical style if there's a good reason for it (and it does look good).
