Hey! I know that RMXP FULL encrypted Games must be under 120 MB in order to extract properly.

I am making a game now that already is 135 (+) MB. I don't want to delete any music files (maybe some graphic, but I'd rather not do that either). So do I need to convert my musics to OGG or some small filetypes or is there ANOTHER way to create encrypted (OR Zip file) without including the RMXP.project files AND to get a working extraction for other users?

SIMPLY:
1. I want to ZIP / encrypt my files so that people CAN'T change the game
2. I want it to be able to extract correctly (and fully) even if it is 135+ MB

HELP PLEASE:)

Thanks in advice!

Zipping your game won't protect it from being edited.
I think this tool by Zeriab does what you are looking for.

Most definitely what Des said; if you've got a ton of music then converting them shrinks your file size by a pretty good bit.

decrease the size of the music or cut back some of them, unless u making game about music/revolve around it , no reason to use so much music, so many developer under illusion that good song is good game  it made their game much crapier.
the bgm im using is less than 5mb and i still want to decrease it. (well, i already change it to the tinies file of ogg though)

There is absolutely no need to cut down on music or filesize. Simply take out the Audio folder, encrypt your game, and provide the Audio folder as a separate file in your .zip.

Sure, convetrting to .oggs are a decent way to cut down filesize, but only do so if you don't mind lagtime while loading large songs! mp3 streaming is an oft-overlooked feature.

Just use a different encryption tool. It will protect your files just the same. Anyhow, if people want to crack the game open, they probably will.

Thanks guys! Well I prefer to NOT convert them, I will try to take out the Audio folder then! How do you do it? Can I copy-paste it to another place, OUTSIDE the project folder or shall I only do this when the PROJECT is FINISHED?

You just need to move the folder out while compiling and then put it back in the compiled folder. :)

if you are aiming to make your game professional looking, i always recommend making an installer, its pretty easy to do. Most people think im crazy for saying so though...lol

I NEED HELP! I am putting the audiofolder separately from the PROJECT FOLDER (enctypted), but when I decrypt it STILL can't find RGSS104e.dll .

Doesn't the COMPRESION (Encryption) create that file? I mean what is it?

Ps. I can't find the DLL file at my computer at all, but still I can play the decrypted game on my computer (WITHOUT STANDARD RGSS)

I have made this a dozen times and still I don't understand why I got the error, am I doing somethign wrong?

WHAT I DO:

1. Puting out the AUDIO FOLDER FROM THE PROJECT FOLDER

2. COmpressing the game

3.Putting THE COMPRESSED FILE + AUDIO FILE IN 1 SINGLE ZIP FILE

Plz help

/Thanks in advice
