As title says, I don't know if this is the correct place, but I'm mauling over some ideas for a Flash game project.
I have two different ideas, but they're based on the same mechanics. Which would be a 2D Resident Evil, but with turn based battles in the vein of Final Fantasy. The player would have a series of skills, but a very limited 'mana' pool, which is only regained either through skills or a basic ability which provides additional 'mana' per use.
Both ideas, are like 2D Resident Evil in some degree; such as pushing objects, using/finding guns, finding ammo and solving puzzles.
The first idea is a mash up of Dino Crisis and Resident Evil in some ways; the "third energy" from Dino Crisis causes a rip in reality, allowing evil spirits to warp and damage reality, effected humans lose their souls and become brittle, known as 'husks'. Some become incubators for monstrosities, known as larvae. This is pretty much a case of, instead of Zombies or Dinosaurs, its daemons.
Now my second idea is, a dystopian future where the future is ran by corporations, but the leaders of these corporations are hiding the dark truth of a vampire culture under wraps; the different corporations consist of different variants of vampires, such as those that feed on souls instead of blood. The player becomes one fo these vampires, each corporation wants to discover and awaken the progenitor being, which is the "ultimate" vampire; combining all the strengths of all variants... Soul-sucking, immune to holy water, etc. Each vampire variant has different dark gifts, health can only be restored by feeding on the clueless mankind, all the while keeping their vampiricism a secret.
And input or critisim on these ideas are welcome of course.
