Symbiote is an adventure-platformer where you explore the mysterious ruins of an alien planet, while searching out new abilities to reach new areas.

  • Tight, responsive controls allow for precise platforming.
  • Features hi-res, hand-drawn graphics and animations.
  • Put together the backstory from the crew's recorded messages, or feel free to ignore the story to get on with the action.
  • Collect sparks from defeated foes to upgrade your max health.
  • For completionists, find the five artifacts hidden throughout the world.
  • Playable with gamepad or keyboard. Gamepad STRONGLY recommended.
  • Support for multiple resolutions.

This is actually really fluid and highly playable. I'm definitely going to play more of this when I get time. From the screenshots I can see there's a lot more to it than just this space station I'm in right now and hell, it's a platformer with storyline, so that's a win.

I put his screenshots in the screenshot section, but I'm sure I messed up. :( I did it for my game and his game, so you might want to check..?

Anyway, I remember watching my BF (Star) play this while we wanted to see what people made of IGMC.

Of course, I can't remember anything, but I *do* like what I see here. And your pixeling/game art is always awesome.

Hey, why not give the contest link so people can vote for you? D:

pls :box:

Thanks guys. Busted my ass to make this but it was SO NICE to make a real game like this.

Anyone who plays it go ahead and give me some feedback if you want. If you like the game that's the best way to show it. What was good, what was bad etc. I know the game's not perfect (made in one month for the contest) and I'm always looking to improve. Criticism is better than praise. :) :box: :box: :smoke:

I tend to fall off platforms really easily when jumping on short ones, but I'm guessing this is because it's designed for controllers and not my keyboard. Could just be my fingers.

It's both. MOSTLY the controller thing though. The game's intentionally very slippery. If you hold R (idr what it is on keyboard) then she has better traction but moves slower.

Oh, cool, that makes sense. To be honest I just got used to the slipperiness.
