I agree that the new lighting direction definitely improves the tone of the game, gives it that classic low-light feel zombie movies tend to have. I know I've probably asked this before, but in regards to the weapons are you still planning to add attachment/customization support?
Thank you means alot! and yes attachment/customization for weapons will be in the beta as well as the final game. Some more than others. But every weapon will atleast have 1 or 2 upgrades.
Even just having one gun you can customize (as was mostly the case in MGS4) or only having attachements that directly affect weapon stats (like LAMs giving headshot bonuses and Extended Magazines ect) instead of attachments that demand more attention in terms of coding (like underbarrel weapons) would be cool.
Yes you read my mind. Some attachments and upgrades will def change the stats of the guns. Custom sights for the gun will increase accuracy. LAMs will slightly increase accuracy as well as you will be able to see the laser when you aim your weapon, making it slightly easier to see the target you are shooting. I actually finished the underbarrel grenade launcher coding a long time ago, you can expect under barrel weapons as well, but not for every weapon, mostly just assault rifles. Extended mags wont change any stats other than youll have more ammo to the magazine.
Oh, forgot to mention, what kinda changes to the GUI (if any) can we expect?
Changes to the GUI you can expect a new health bar, slightly bigger and more animated. As well a a stress/stanima gauge underneath the health bar. I'll get into that system a little later. You can also expect to see an icon to open a "quest" list
