Do you want to see more "developper's diary" video, instead of simple capture?

well you know... any advanced graphics package allows you to make sweet graphics.... it doesn't matter what the engine is, as long as it displays it, the game will look pretty ;)

Arev > I'll do more videos when the new interface is complete, and working. that will be one... then i'll do another one when i finish the new physics engine, (1st of april) or maybe before showing some test version of it, if i'm really excited with dull graphics... and then some proper alpha-gameplay(basic moves/attacks).

EDIT > Woot page 4 !

As I said the other day! Here comes the 1st composition :p

2 mp3s to discover and comment^^!

The 1st one is a remix of Vampire Killer.
the 2nd is original and will be used for boss battles.

Enjoy!

And we're in the process of recruiting a new Spriter. Will he survive our difficult test ?

Here`s what it looks like... Most of the basic movements are complete now ( sorry if i don't show jump in the vid, we need physics enabled, and physics masks for that to work ....)and we are proud to present them to you in motion....

A nice 12 frames for the walk loop, and a total of 16 frames for the complete cycle... Same as in Symphony of the night... The stance animation has 20 frames!!! Well hope y'all like this....

Sorry for being quiet for sometime...

Just wanted to let you know I'm still around, and have been working on the boss in and out, fixing all the kinks in his leg movement (Beasts have never been my specialty). Creating the rider wasn't too hard though. I'll mail you an update once I'm satisfied with what I've created (If it disappoints me, then it might disappoint you also).

Also, if you have any "whip"-fodder designed, I'd be happy to "whip" something up like that!

I also like what you've "whipped" up, Icedelta! Ok, I need to stop with the puns...

Also, will you be having a completely original song in the game titled after the subtitle? It seems that all the newer castlevania' have tracks with titles similar to the full game title.

"some other language" is French!
He already said there would be an English version. Read the post in future instead of glancing over screenshots and posting for answers.

Wwoo a month without news...

Well here's a news that will please people!
To celebrate the 1st year of development, a "at least technical" demo will be released when we'll reach the famous date :p of the 10th of June

Of course this is still under the " if everything goes on plan " statement; so don't scream if it doesn't happen!!
We'll do our best to give you something!

 Enjoy!

Here goes some news, people! Been ages >_<

The long awaited Website! => http://castlevania.trebor777.net/

We've put some new screenshots, and some gameplay features in the system page! ;)

We'll try to post a new video capture soon! :) Cause it looks even better in motion. (no my head isn't going to explode).

The promised demo, will certainly be only a technical demo ;) but we intend to release it (but it might ( i honestly don't know ) be late.)

Oh and if you're really a fan, you can register, post comments, or even better post in the forum ;)

Well we know about construct, but the thing is, we don't want to go through the learning process of a new software.
secundo where would be the fun for me as a scripter... :p
then we are far too advanced in the development to go back to something else.

Mini news !
The SKill gameplay features are implemented:
As explained on the website, you can equip 2 active skills (one on each "arm") and 1 passive. Skills are can be equipped from your equipment, until you master them. Some skills are better for a style of fighting, than the other one.

You can't cast anything yet, it's just the "equipment" part of it. and the whole evolution system behind it (earning skill points and such)

We also have a new team member: a dedicated writer ^^ for the story line, wooh wooh! It lightens my work a bit and I can focus even more on the scripting. As he's quite good at it, we should have some nice character development !! ^^

I must say it looks good, Infact it dosent look as if you used RPG Maker to make that :P the first youtube video reminds me of the start of Braid on Xbox 360.... oh yeah and why in the first youtube movie does it call the game:

"Castlevania: Symphoney of something or other.... I forgot sorry"

Im guessing it was a working title.... .... ...

yep looks good.

Hello people!

Still working on the Menu functionalities^^:
- Items use ( healing items and such, Consumable weapons like bombs will be managed in the equipment)
and
- Relics activation/desactivation
are done.

I could put some screenshots for those... but they are bit boring xD

Next steps for the menu are :
- the journal -> quests, characters info, story summary, bestiary etc... :)
- The Map Viewer, ( where you can see the maps of all visited locations )

Then I'll work a bit on the Collision System and then Weapons & Spells animation system :) ( and how to trigger all that pretty stuff )
and then.... so much more to do

:haha: it'll never end!

Thanks again for the Votes^^!

Anyway you have a really nice project going here - very ambitious yet doable
I'm just curious if it'll be original enough yet still true to Castlevania

Btw I voted for you guys...
