UPDATE!! Okay, BlueSkies 2 demo version 0.5 is up!! you can use your save file from previous version to continue on! but the main focus of this update was to fix the issues of missing files!! so this version is now stand-alone, which means you do not RMXP or the RTP in order to play it, I've already put all of the files necessary inside the download to play the game

Update!! BlueSkies 2 demo version 1.0 is now up! xDD if you have a safe file from a previous version, simply copy your save file and paste it to the new version's folder

Changes on the update:
- Fixed some minor grammatical and spelling errors/typos. (though I still don't think I've found all errors)
- Re balanced certain enemies to be more tolerable, especially the enemies at Mt. Elmoda.
- Of course: New maps and story-line scenes to explore and immerse into!
- I've made the second tier armor and weapon prices a little cheaper and affordable at early levels.
- Expect new advetures!

UPDATE!! BlueSkies 2 demo version 1.5 is now up!!  Thank God for all the resolved issues in this update (there are still minor ones, but not as crucial as the ones before).

Changes:
- Fixed the errors and bug that had something to do with the battle system script (credits are given to the awesome people involved)
- Fixed the menu/shop transitions so that they will be alot faster to navigate now..
- Made some balance changes on certain enemies (especially the ones at the start)
- Made the enemies at "Ghastly Forest" Grind-able with the increased EXP gain and gold gain.
- New Title screen as well as a new character art for Lyrelle on the menu. (credits to terrorchan for the beautiful arts)
- New dungeon mission to explore after version 1.0 ended. 

Well, there really aren't much lore or game related updates as the focus of this update was more on the fixes and the new graphics!  BUT! I'm hoping you will enjoy the short continuation from 1.0 to this version (1.5).. be sure to copy your save file to this new version's folder to continue!

UPDATE!! BlueSkies 2 demo version 2.0 is up! xDD

Note:if you wish to continue where you ended from the previous verions, you can use your save-file by copying it to the new version's folder!

Changes in the update: (with fixes thanks to KK20) Thank God!!
- Fixed the issues of skill windows overlapping during battles
- Fixed the issues of being able to put all party members at the sub (which causes a bug)
- Fixed the issues of battles being to slow (battle camera react faster now and the waiting time during battle is now slightly reduced)
- Fixed incompatibility issues of Blizzard's analyze script and MP's scripts
- Visual updates: (New skill icons courtesy of Ails and a new battle background for Senna woods)
- Price changes: Mana potions, weapons and armors are now slightly cheaper..
- 1 new dungeon to explore! (continuation of version 1.5)..
- New playable character: Hanni, the Psychic! you will get to know her in this update..

That would be the changes for this update!! again the focus on this update is more based on the fixes!! so hopefully, there won't be anymore bugs and issues in the future!

You need to put the enemies on some sort of timer after escaping. Narrow passages, fast moving sprites, if you escape you'll just go right back into battle again.
Alternatively, you should remove the "Attack Escape" menu, it'll make battles 5-10 seconds faster without that prompt every turn. An escape item would also be preferable. The attack motions could be snapper too. I'm sure there's a variable speed in the script you can adjust so they're not slowly hopping back and forth like they're on the moon.

Hello coyotecraft!! and thanks so much for trying out the demo and for telling me the issues you find that needs addressing!! I will keep that in mind and I will do my best to change what needs to be changed!! hopefully though, I can figure out how to make those work in the scripts!

Also, I am indeed quite troubled as to how I will do it in eventing under the "if escaped" at battle processing, so that I can make enemies have some sort of timer when escaping! xDD

forgive me for I am quite a newbie when it comes to all these! but thank you so much nonetheless for pointing those out! xD

You can switch to a second event page running as parallel process, set as Through (so the player doesn't get stuck), and maybe lowered opacity or no event graphic. Just Wait:400frames then turn off the selfswitch to go back to the previous event page.

UPDATE!! BlueSkies2 demo version 2.5 is here!! and along with this update, I would also like to announce that BlueSkies 2 will be on hiatus for awhile, since classes are going to start next week, I need to prepare myself for all the thesis works that will come!! BUT!! I am still going to continue working on this game for as long as I live!! xDD I guess on the sem-break I might continue it's progress!! in the meantime I'll be creating a short RPG maker game for fun and I'll be posting it soon!

So, without further ado:

Changes in this update:

Visual changes
- Slight recolor of Luna's battle sprite to be more fitting on her portrait.
- New battle animation/effects for Lyrelle's "Celestial Star" (Mascaporne's) and for Hanni's "Intuitive Insight" (Mea's)
- Minor elemental spells will now have the default casting animation in order to make battles a bit quicker.

Gameplay changes
- Escaping from an enemy will now render it's sprite "avoidable" for a short period of time, giving more allowance to the escape mechanic.
- You will now be given a choice to automatically backtrack or to backtrack manually once the mission is done.
- Item Prices and Potion heals have been tweaked, seeking to meet balance.
- New plot progression and maps to explore (continuation from version 2.0)

I thought it was funny how magic is outlawed but they sell mana potions in stores.
Obviously, playing as River showed that MP is used for his own special attack. I think a small name change there could help suspend the player's disbelief.

Thanks for the reminders coyotecraft!! I will keep that in mind!! At first I thought it was just a minor thing, but you're right, it does seem odd and that can turn into something major anytime! x(

EDIT:

I changed back MP to SP and called Mana potions "Energy Potions". hmm, I hope that kinda sounds more immersive now!! xD t'was honestly my bad in that part! xD

Though these changes will only be present in the next update once I continue with the progression of this game! :)

Hello guys and Happy new year!! It's been very long since I've posted an update. :) But I just wanna drop by with a few screenies to let you guys know that i'm still working on finishing up the game. I'm already at the final parts of the game, so I hope it won't be long ti'll I release the finished product.

Real life's been harsh to me these past few months which is why I haven't touched the game for long after my last update. I'm quite excited to finish the game though, knowing that the list of completed games are growing and growing and I can't wait to try them all out as soon as I'm done with BlueSkies 2. :)

First of all, I would like to thank God for making this release a possibility. Despite the real-life harshness that I've experienced, I was still able to finish this game and make it come to life for people to enjoy. :)

Second, I want to thank all the extremely talented people in the credit sections of this game, for , without their skills, BlueSkies 2 would never be possible. :D

Last but not the least, I really am forever grateful for the amazing people who've supported this game through their words of encouragement/inspiration, beautiful fan-art and etc.. You all know who you are. ^_^

Now, the moment that I've always dreamed of! The Full version release of BlueSkies 2!!

I've been working on this game on and off for 2 years! xD My usage time of RMXP on Steam is equals to 716 hours. Which means that this game was completed at a total time usage of 29 days over 2 years. xDD

So much for that, you may now download the Full version of the game and I hope that you all enjoy it as I did making it. ^_^ God bless you all and have a happy journey around Vyen. :D

Note: Starting with a clean-save is recommended to avoid unwanted bugs/crashes. ^_^

Hello @Fayte! Thank you so much for checking out! xD :D Hmm.. advice? All I can really say is that if you have the patience and passion to finish your game? then you'll reach there. ;)

Though I have to admit, BlueSkies 1 was quite flawed to say the least (From Story-telling to Grammar). It was the very first RPG maker game that I completed and am still thankful for the experience. xD

So yah, consistence and commitment on your current project is key. ^_^ Whenever you tend to lose interest, go on hiatus. It's okay to clear your mind once in a while and proceed to ask yourself what makes your RPG a story worth telling? ;)

Always create games out of pure Love and Passion. It may not be perfect, but the experience and lessons that comes with completing a game will be so worth it! :D

Hi guys! I wish to inform you all of an urgent bug. If some of you have reached Utania village and performed the "Sonova" play at the theater, you'll notice that if you had Krizza already in your party, she disappears from the party after the play.

I am truly sorry for this inconvenience, it is my bad for not seeing that bug. x((

But do not fret! I've uploaded a hot-fix patch that you can use to fix this problem. :)

Instructions:
1. Download the "Game.rgssad" from the link.
2. Replace the "Game.rgssad" from the BlueSkies 2 folder with the new "Game.rggsad".

3. If you use this patch before doing the "Sonova" play side-quest, you'll find Krizza back in your party with no problems.

4. If you use this patch after doing the "Sonova" play side-quest and it seems too late that she's gone, do not panic. You can find Krizza outside the Utania Village pub and Mt. Zunna of Baul and get her to rejoin your party. :)

I am very sorry for this. x((

One more thing, if you still haven't gone to Utania to do the "Sonova" play and you still don't have Krizza in your party, I suggest you make your way to Utania now and do the "Sonova" play sidequest so that you'll no longer have to download the patch and will no longer face this issue once Krizza joins you. :)

Hi guys! Once again, I am very sorry for the inconvenience. Please download this Fix patch to further destroy all the bugs I just recently found with the full version. :(

If you encounter bugs such as the game freezing or party members disappearing, then please do download this patch. :) To anyone who've downloaded the previous patch, I really plead to you to download this new fix. :)

Hello all!! I am pleased to tell you all that I've uploaded the new BlueSkies 2 Complete version! V.20! (As well as a patch for anyone who downloaded the previous Complete version.)

Full Game of BlueSkies 2 version 2.0:

Version 2.0 Patch: (For people who've downloaded the previous full game's version)

Changes:

- Gold and Exp gain from enemies at the Last continents have been increased
- Final dungeon enemies have increased probability of dropping healing items
- Final dungeon enemies' strength have been dramatically decreased
- Freeze bugs have been fixed
- Missing Party members bug have been fixed

This full download can now be enjoyed fully without the need for further patches! Enjoy everyone! ^_^

UPDATE! Version 2.5 of full version is now up. :)

This update is simply a bug fix for some of the bugs found by the awesome players. ^__^ Don't worry though, you may still use an old save for this version. ;)

Bug fixes

- Krizza will no longer appear untimely at Utania village whenever you start roaming freely in the game. (The Krizza missing bug is also fixed already.)
