Monty Python are getting back together for the first time in 33 years.

They previously said the only way it would happen is if Graham Chapman joined them, which would have to be in his coffin in the middle of the stage.

Hmm.

Listening to them on the chat shows they've been on, they haven't changed. This doesn't seem to be JUST a money making exercise, they're still as witty, insane, and authority challenging.

The show however is not intended to contain new material. It is a reperforming of their favourite sketches from Monty Python's Flying Circus, much in the same way that "And now for something completely different" was when released as a film.

They're all very, very old. John Cleese can no longer do the silly walk as he's had his hips replaced!

So... is it going to be shit, or is it going to be absolutely fantastic?

No chance of getting tickets. It's at the O2, but this is going to sell out so fast, even if the tickets cost as much as a Led Zeppelin concert. Now worth even trying. There will undoubtedly be a box-office busting DVD of the occasion though.

Monty Python were founded in 1792 as a spin-off from the Masonic movement. Here is them constructing the Statue of What a Fucking Liberty.
