What exactly is the difference between the "story mode" and the "game mode"? I'm assuming that there is actual playability in this one, correct? Having two different threads open that are almost exactly the same is a bit redundant but if there is a substantial difference between the two versions then I might let it slide. I would have preferred that you just add the download and some info stating how it is different in the old thread since virtually everything about it is the same or pretty close, and the threads are copy and pasted from each other.
I don't really pay much attention to rm anymore, but I think I should tell you regardless that this story is melodrama to the ridiculous. I can't read it without seeing it as an ego-projection of your experience in what you think is an unfair life (whether or not that's a fair assessment,) and it doesn't really seem a lot like the sort of story that can carry a piece -- we all know the kid is gonna go through sad Circumstances and wind up with a present at the end of it, and everything in between seems like Jane Eyre-calibre martyrdom.

This game is about a boy named Nathan who still hasn’t got a present for twelve years. It will be his thirteenth birthday on December 25. His brother, Paul always gets a present from his parents because of his parent’s favoritism on Paul.
I mean, come on, you can do better than this. it's insanely maudlin.

There is a certain atmosphere over this project that might turn out good. it's hard to say anything about this kind of games before you actually play them. Once your game or demo is posted i think you'll get alot more replies. Keep working ;)
While bumping is ok in the other forums, it isn't so much in Project Threads; try only to bump if the first post is updated or if the bump post is actually content (i.e. outlining an update). ~Wyatt
Can't you see that you're smothering me Holding too tightly afraid to lose control Cause everything that you thought I would be Has fallen apart right in front of you
No real good criticism on story and such, but i think the rtp looks terrible with much of this tileset, you might want to work with a smaller character template and use simpler graphics to match better.
An example of what i mean. I'm not trying to make you use this template believe me, but i only have this character and the template is small so you see what i mean.

I must say, this game looks really promising, and I liked it a little better than most of the games I played, but I did expect more from the screenshots that you provided. :P Nothing really wrong, I loved the game, but I can't wait until it is completed!
Okay so I was reading this and one thing I noticed, well two things actually, were that the Concept and the Story said pretty much exactly the same thing. Delete the Concept part. Also, if Nathan hadn't been receiving gifts for twelve years, what makes him think he'll get one this Christmas?
