I got some small updates I guess.
First:
I OFFICIALLY have Jstreet as my music composer! He is one of the best of the bests with awesome talents and stuff. He has composed 2 themes so far, so stay tuned!
Which brings me to my next update!
Second:
October 6th is the OFFICIAL demo release date, I swear. I pushed it back for Jstreet, even though he probably didn't need it since he composed 2 themes less than 24 hours... and since I only need 6 songs.... well we will see!
There is still LOTS to do before a demo. Some eventing is going on... and Lex isn't back yet... Need sprites, pretty damn badly... The FFVISDK is also coming along great. If no one has ever seen it, visit the Final Fantasy VI SDK thread in the other Forum thingy... I think it's below this forum... Program & Utility Development! That's it. It's a really great editor that I, myself, certainly cannot wait for!
The new "Essence" system is being planned, too. I had an old one planned, but I scraped it. The new one will pretty much work JUST like it. I think I have ideas that could work with it.
Third:
I got this great idea from this guy from GamingW. It's like a relic system... here I'll quote it from the GamingW page:

1st slot is called Inflict, which is you get to equip an element or abnormal status ability for your added physical attack effect against enemies' weaknesses)
2nd slot is called Protect, which is the same as Inflict, but it's about protecting you against a bad status or absorbing an element attack)
3rd slot is called Command, which gives you a free special battle command of your choice you have in your inventory other than your initial special one.
4th slot is called Support, it's obviously whatever can boost your attack/magic/speed/defense points for battle or increasing your evasion, etc.
5th slot is called Field, pertains to nothing in the game but your walking characters on the screen, such as being able to walk over tile floor damage or watching out for traps. It takes only one field ability to be equipped to affect everyone in the team with that character on, so you get more freedom this way.
But I'm not sure if it will exactly work like his... I'll most likely make changes. So stay tuned for that thing. I support that project and you can find it at GamingWorld. The title is "Runic Cipher."
The menu screen will not be present in the demo... you know, the Items and shizz menu. Instead, if you want to equip something like armor or a shield, I'll have it at a save point. There will be 2, so don't worry.
