Hey,

So we already have a thread to talk about what games we're playing, but since 2011 seems to be jammed with tons of games coming out, I thought it'd be cool to talk about which games we'll be buying, what we're looking forward to etc...

For me, well, just for Febuary, I'm planning on buying Marvel vs Capcom 3, which is out tomorrow so I'l going to pick it up when I go into town, and then next Friday I'll be buying Killzone 3 and Two Worlds 2. See though, there's a problem now, Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll was released on the 11th, and I played the demo and thought it was pretty cool, I was looking forward to it anyway but it completely left my attention when more games were being released, so I don't know if I should buy it instead of one of the games mentioned above, or just wait for it to go down in price...

I wasn't expecting it to be as long or have as much content as that guy says, I was like "Oh, Action RPG, it'll be like 10-20 hours and be linear", but apparently it's the opposite, lol.

As for games I'm looking forward to, the next one coming up that's got me excited is the new Mortal Kombat, I'm glad to see that they're doing everything right this time, they've lost the z axis in fighting (It's a pretty cheap system anyway, just tap up or down to sidestep a big attack...), added back the blood and gore, the fatalities look amazing, same goes for the character design to be honest, and the addition of tag team fighting (Yeah other games have done it, so what) will make online more fun too.

im really looking forward to uncharted 3, mass effect 3, skyrim, and killzone 3

I guess the only one I'm looking forward to, is Skyrim. I thought there were others, but they escape my mind. I mean, the chances of me making a smexy female character is actually great now! And I enjoy character creation systems a lot.

Mass Effect 3, Skyrim, Dragon Age 2 and Skyward Sword.

First up is DA 2, I've already pre-ordered it and I cant wait to finnaly play it !! !

Killzone 3, MotorStorm, Infamous 2, Resistance 3, Pokemon, Uncharted 3, legend of heroes... thers a ton more but those are theonly ones il 100% buy on day one

Killzone 3 is the next game on my list to buy. After playing the multiplayer and singleplayer demos, I'm pretty sure it'll live up to the hype and create a new major competitor in the fps market.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII, they didn't change it, it's still the same. They DID however rename Final Fantasy Agito XIII to Final Fantasy Type-0, lol.

Resistance 3 DOES look good from that video they released, glad the weapon wheel is back, and love how they upgrade in a Ratchet fashion.

Is anyone else as excited as me for Disgaea 4 and (hopefully) White Knight Chronicles 2 later this year?

I would be excited for Disgaea 4 - if I can play the 3rd one without blinding myself because of a horrible cheap TV.

Does your Monitor/Laptop have a HDMI slot? If so just plug your PS3 straight into it, I've noticed that using my monitor has made some games so much easier to play since things look better and text, even though it's on a smaller screen, can be easier to read (22" monitor as opposed to a 42" HDTV).

I'm technically impaired, so what does it look like and where would it most likely be? If mine doesn't have it, then Star's probably does.

This is a HDMI slot and it should be on the side of your laptop if you're using one, or if you're using a computer monitor, it'll be beside the DVI slot (Monitor cable)

Yay! Star's laptop has one! Now to talk to him about it. :) Hopefully I can finally play these games and not have my eyes hurt within 5 minutes.

sorry, but most laptop hdmi ports are out only, meaning they will only send a signal out to another monitor/ tv, not bring a signal in to display on the laptop itself. in fact, i have yet to find any that are in or in/ out ports

FUCK YES. PVP in D4 and a faster combat system in WKC2 along with 6 party members and more emphasis on the player? Oh god, fucking nerdgasm all around.

@candle Aww that's gay, I've only used my monitor and not a laptop, I just assumed that, because they have an HDMI port it'd work the same too, didn't even think about it, lol.

@Necrile PvP will be fucking amazing in Disgaea 4 and can't wait to see my character be of use in White Knight Chronicles 2, I wonder how the customisation for our knights will be...

Noooooooooo :( I was always looking forward for this. Sucks.

But other than that, this year (as many others have already stated):
- Uncharted 3
- Skyrim
- Killzone 3 / Resistance 3 (sorta)
- Pokemon
- FFXIII-2

And for next year, Diablo III.

The only things I'm really waiting for this year are Bioware's releases:
Dragon Age 2 (<-depends on how the demo plays)
The Old Republic (<-especially)
Mass Effect 3 (<-Collectors edition again baby)

Otherwise if anything comes out along the way that catches my eye, I'll be sure to pick it up.

So today I went to buy Killzone 3, but forgot to take my ID with me, so didn't get served (Lolwut as if I don't look 18!), so I've asked 'em to keep a copy behind the desk for me, going to pick it up tomorrow with my ID, and I bought Nier too, but not got around to playing it yet, I've heard so many good things about it, and I finally got it!

I'd have bought Two Worlds 2 as well, but it's been delayed in UK... yet again. 1st March --- Next Friday, well, it's Amazon.co.uk exclusive from 25th Feb to 1st March, and then it'll be on sale in stores, that's proper gay and now I've decided to save my money and buy it when it's cheaper instead, lol.

Can't wait for Yakuza 4 and Motorstorm: Apocolypse next month!

I heard bad things about two worlds 2..I would hold out for skyrim if I were you.
