I personally am fine with no tundra. I'd rather live in a wooded area anyway.

I've heard snow can be laggy anyway. Not as much as a dense forest, but still borderline. I personally have never stuck around when I've found a snowy area in my game.

Yeah that strange crevasse goes on for quite a while, and gets crazy deep. Some of the crevasses run so deep you can find gold ore chillin' in caves at the bottom. I mean on the visible surface--I didn't dig at all.

My getting a lung infection and BukkitDev's (understandable) dragging their heels on finally releasing an RB have set me back a little. Don't worry, I'm still hard @ work, but it's going to be a few more days.

In the meantime, please feel free to keep sending me plugin suggestions and .schematic files. The more work I have to do alone, the longer this shit takes to do!

Here's a little taste of the main city's front gate. Actually I took this screen 2 days ago and some things have changed, but like I said, it's a taste.



No matter what I tried, I couldn't manage to seed a full continent with all the natural resources/biomes on it I wanted. So I am building a continent out of pieces of continents. It took FOREVER to make a desert large enough to contain the main city, with a harbor on the south side. But I used some of you guys' schematics yesterday, so woo!! Thanks!

I'm still debating on how I will set up shops. I had REALLY been hoping for NPCs in this update. Now I'm going to have to use a temporary NPC plugin until 1.9 probably. Bummer.

Yeah, will be fine. I will be doing this all on a whitelist basis, so they'll have to def have legit copies/accounts, and pass along the usernames to me when I start collecting them :).

There are a lot of extra's in 1.9

well do you have to respawn the world when 1.9 releases?
because I say just stick with 1.8 because most of the features dont seem super relevant to what teh server is trying to accomplish
i mean, mushrooms and stuff are awesome but idk~

i will probably hang back a few days, see if 1.9 will come out, and then when it does, spawn the world over using the same seed, and copy/paste the PvP continent back into it.

the algorithms for seed gen are presumably going to be the same so it shouldnt be hard.

what is annoying though is that these bukkit plugins require my going in and setting regions and such while the server is running, and spawning a new world will effectively kill the entities I'm setting. :/
