Very creepy! Mouth looks cool. You draw some nostrils on that nose and it will be a nose probably. it has all the makings of a nose.

absolutely need to redo the hands. I doodled over them until they were basically black scribbles in the shape of vaguely-defined paws.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the hands... But the upper head seems to to be at a weird angle while the bottom one is more straight on... As far as proportioning goes I like it, and the pants seem really nice and clean.




This took me like an hour... The things that seem a bit off is the collar bone... and the blank space in the top left area... Still in the lineart stage... and I haven't bothered to even think of what colors to use...

I think what makes the collar bone look off is that it is too round. Try to make it less round
and I think it would look better. Nice work!

I'm loving the improvements I'm seeing among various artists! I might not post that often (due to my laziness) but I'm always watching and seeing some inspiring stuff!




WIP nothing is finalized yet. I'm going to hopefully enter this into Gameinformer. Seeing as how I'm trying to get more exposure as an artist. :p

Here is a group picture of Aelina and two new characters: Malechite and Mell. My friend Susan created Malechite to be the perfect match for Aelina, with Mell as their adopted daugher. ^^

Shep looks fantastic. Amusingly, she looked very much like my own FemShep.
Even though Shepards can vary, even if she weren't wearing her N7 gear, I think I'd be able to figure out who that was.

I figured out Miranda by her clothes (I think; she's the one on the right, right?), but it took me some time to understand that one of the girls was Ashley (even then, I'm assuming, because Ashley doesn't even really use pistols, does she? She's a Soldier type. I mean she technically CAN, but why).

Neither of the other girls' faces look a huge amount like Miranda's or Ashley's in-game faces. Actually the Ashley-face reminded me instantly of Liara's face.

More details:

- Miranda's in-game face is very round. The one you drew is quite angular, with a sharp chin. Her in-game lips ... The upper-lip is triangular, with a sharply-inclined cupid's bow. Her nose bridge is less curved; it's more straight.

- Ashley ... Her in-game eyebrows are rather thick, her lips rather fat and rounded. The cupid's bow is very slight and curvy. She wears heavy eyeliner. Your version has her with a deep widow's peak in her hair, but if you look at the screen I posted below, you'll see she doesn't even have a widow's peak at all.

Or ... Wait, maybe that's Kasumi. IDK, I never bought any of the DLC.

Anyway, it's looking nice, at any rate. Be careful with the size of FemShep's hands; they look quite small.

edit: The more I look at it ... The more I doubt that I have the right characters after all o_o. Is ... Is the one on the right Ashley? In Miranda's clothes? Hmm ... >_>

You have improved so much! The girl's face is very expressive, and the proportions aren't bad. She has a definite pear-shape :). Lots of badonkadonk.

The eye on the left looks like it's doing an anime-shuffle off her face, though. You will want to nudge that bad boy closer to her nose :)

V: you're correct the order is as follows:(left to right) Miranda (who actually started out as Liara but somehow turned into Miranda), Femshep (because I hate manshep) and Ashley (who was originally going to be Tali, then Garrus :p) but yeah I was trying to get the faces somewhat similar to the ingame models but ashley has the weirdest shaped head. I'll have to upload the updated piece when I get home as I'm typing this from my phone currently and I'm art work. Nonetheless I appreciate the crits, as well as the reference photo! I couldn't find a good picture of just Mirandas face without it being some cosplay or porn image. :/

I could never get my Femshep to look good. :( she would look great in the character creation screen but then in game she was always a monster. I was trying too go for a more default sheppard look but as long as she can be recognized then all is good in the galaxy.

Strawberry: The only thing that really bothers me about it is that hand. Idk if its due to the angle that its portrayed at or how its not as smooth as the rest of the drawing but other than that I absolutely LOVE your designs! I must say if I get around to finishing something I would love to do my own interpretation of one of your characters. Also love the family piece! Very cute. :)

There labeled and faces somewhat fixed. Still trying to get the Miranda to look proper. I'll probably make the eyes on Ashley more "sultry" but Idk Femshep is supposed to be the star of the show!

EDIT 4: Taking V's advice into mind I did a quick character swap just to see. Now that I'm looking at it I might switch Ashley out for Jack or Kasumi maybe Drell?

I really like it, and that's about all I can say because there's nothing i see wrong with it... As to be expected from you haha

Strawberry: I think it has nice depths and proportions... but the head seems to be a bit big to me...


for this I honestly just started drawing lines... not sure what's wrong with it but do you think it looks more like a guy... or a girl?

What are you brush settings? I've tried emulating that clean thick style but I could NEVER get it. :/

Makasu: I'm not really sure what settings it was on, but I was using the pen brush with a 3.5 brush size in corel painter essentials 4.

Well my fiance designed her costume and all that. XD But Aelina belongs to me.

I do have my own outfits for her, though. XD

She's actually a scythe-wielder. :X

I agree with makasu, her clothes are well designed... mine usually come out too complicated.... But yeah, it's not photoshop... I don't have any money to buy it... xDD

Garrus is definitely an asshole to draw. But ... Well, with Garrus in there, the picture is all unbalanced D:

Liara is all tinysmall ... If you're drawing a big dude on one end, the other end begs another big dude :((((

HOWEVER you could get around this and ignore it entirely if you put in some fancy title work on the right side above Liara, so the whole picture balances and there's no awkward negative space ...

I agree with Ven about the negative space. I think it might look better if you moved Shepard over closer to Liara. That said, really sweet drawing!

I don't know a lot about art just yet, but I just wanna say that Makasu, I absolutely love the way you draw faces. Things like drawing that little line for the edge of the tip of the nose do a lot for depth.

Now that you gals mention it, it is a tad bit off balance! Garrus is out :p I really like him as a character though. So now the question remains; who should I draw there? Tali? Jack? Miranda again? Morton would probably work...

Mordin is an amazing idea. He's a regular favorite of everyone.

I also wouldn't complain about having Garrus and Wrex as background characters (they're both similarly very large).

Having a DLC character in there makes me less attached to the picture :(

I'm guessing it'll have to be Mordin. Just because whilst I REALLY like Kasumi. I do want people to be able to identify with the picture. :p So Maybe I'll just make different versions and ultimately submit the one that looks the best.

I was going to color Kasumi like half cloaked and whatnot.
