Mass Effect 3

I'm playing the game without using any weapons (I do have a light pistol with me though). But nearly no weight + armor that reduces power cooldown = no need for weapons.

Seriously, I play a vanguard and by the time I finished Biotic Force + Nova I can already do another Biotic force (and not much is alive after the mentioned combo). Weapons are a complete waste of time when playing on normal haha.

How am I suppose to get Miranda loyal, because she hates me because of Jack? I heard she can still survive the suicide mission if in the right team. I'm romancing Tali, but I was trying to keep away from it in ME1, as I used a save editor to romance Ashley for when she arrives in ME3.

This is a tricky question for me. I used to be a full time gamer during my full time student era (doesn't mean hardcore though >.>). Now that I have a full time job I just don't find myself dabbling with games anymore. I still play WoW with my fiance over the weekend as an obligatory spend-time with him. Every once in a while I'd lose myself in Dwarf Fortress. I used to role play a lot in the private shards of Ultima Online and some muds. I don't really do all that anymore beside the obligatory WoW weekend with my other half.

I'd love to go back to more gaming if only it can help me feed myself as much as my job =(

Has anyone here played R.U.S.E? (The strategy game from 2010) It's only a fiver ($7-8) and I'm thinking of picking it up on the PS3. I remember it looking pretty interesting but the demo was meh, and afterwards I completely forgot about it...

I've decided I'm going to start using my Move controller a lot more, so I've been thinking of buying compatible games that will give me more reason to use it... anyone want to recommend any other games too?

Its a great game that is very similar to Wargame: European Escalation, and Supreme commander. It is a strategy game on a massive scale. The graphics look pretty good too. For that price I would say its worth the pick-up no doubt. Do you play games a computer? If so, I would recommend Wargame: Euro Escalation over RUSE.

If not, then RUSE is a great pickup, but I think the community is dead, so don't expect any intense online matches. As I don't own any consoles (I guess you can count my home brewed PSP, but lets be serious :P ) I don't know if online communities stay active on Console games.

I'll be buying it for the PS3, the reason being that I want to try an RTS with the move controller, lol. I don't care about the online community with it either, even if there aren't many people I'll survive... but as for online communities as a whole, yeah they stay pretty active on consoles...

Besides, I don't really play RTS games online much anymore, I have to be in the mood lol (All my RTS games are for PC, this will be the first console RTS I buy, lol... well, aside from Red Alert 3)

I've been playing the mp a lot today, I noticed the human vanguard absolutely dominates the bronze challenges.

lol who the hell plays mass effect? should of gotten tales of graces f instead. better in every single way. ANYWAYS just beat tales of graces f today. now gonna do a speed run to get some of the ebat bosses in under a min trophys

If lots of people import from US, those imports count as US sales, so Namco will look at their sales and see a lot in US, and naff all in EU (Because everyone imported it remember), therefore they'll decide it's not worth the time and effort to localise the game in EU, meaning chances are we won't see any more releases of their other Tales games unless we import them, and not everyone wants to go through the trouble when they can wait patiently playing tons of other games, lol.

Been playing Tales of Graces F with Star, like every single day. XD

Not very far, but the game is very fun and for once, I love all the female characters! But Cheria is my favorite. Her personality surprised me and she's so pretty. I have her status picture on my desktop background. Hehe. ^^

idk shes good in battle but she kinda sucks... too generic... pascal is where its at.

Pascal is awesome. I love her personality.

But I've always had a soft spot for healers. :D

Trying to decide whether I should buy The Witcher, it seems fun enough but I'm just not sure.

Witcher 1 ... It's cute but didn't hold up well over the years.

Witcher 2 ... Pretty impressive game, it's HARD AS SHIT. if the deluxe version is on sale then yeah i'd say go for it

Small complaint, but what's with the lack of Biotics in ME3? Only Liara (and Javik with the DLC). I'm playing a biotic myself and I'm glad Javik is one too as I really don't like that blue woman in my team (she dies bit to quickly). Me2 really was better of with that huge amount of squad members.

Hmm I'll look into the game a little more, especially The Witcher 2 since I thought it wasn't out yet :o

i didn't have any of the DLC, so after the umpteenth time Liara bit the dust, and I was a Soldier, I had to settle for Kaidan's semi-bioticness. Sucked not having singularity though.

but if you look at the non-DLC vanilla cast, they TRIED to give you ~1 of each "class", except with 2 variances of engineers, and possibly 2-3 soldiers, if ashley is alive:

kaidan: sentinel (tech/biotic)
[or]
ashley: soldier (combat)
liara: adept (biotic)
vega: soldier? (combat)
garrus: infiltrator (tech/combat)
tali: engineer (tech)
EDI: engineer (tech)

so in your game if you let ashley live and you are not a biotic then you basically only get liara as a choice. which wasn't really a good plan on their part.
i'd rather have more biotics than engineers. you barely fight any robots except in one part so whats the point?

especially since, unless you chose it, or have DLC, you get no Vanguards at all (though none of the party members are "true" classes, so ... idk).

yeah i don't know, i wish they would have just freaking let you have all your suriviving party members joinable into your team, it makes no sense that they wouldn't join you on such an important mission, ugh

I've got the DLC (this has CLEARLY been cut out from the game) Javik is way to important for the game to not be in. Seriously the Protheans seemed like a peacefulness, Idyllic race until they got wiped out by the reapers.. truth is they're fucking ass holes who kill everybody who don't join them. And his comments shed a lot of light on other things. Not to mention he's by far the strongest party member.

And yes I want the old party members, Javik is the only really cool character in ME3. I want Thane back god damnit.

I was happy I at least got Garrus, but my party did seem a lot emptier now that it didin't have a krogan in it.
Instead of Wrex/Grunt charging into the enemy I had to do with James... I WANTED A KROGAN

James Vega was an all-around lame addition. He would have better served as just another non-party crewmate.

If I'm playing a game with cool aliens and the plot involves getting chummy with the lot of them, why in the blue fuck would I want more humans in my party.

Jack was sort of interesting since she looked different and all, and a lot of people seemed to like Ashley, but in any case, I would have MUCH preferred to replace ANY or ALL of the human squadmates with krogan or turians or asari or salarians or batarians or vorcha or drell or yahg or ... hell, i would have creamed myself laughing over having a hanar or elcor or volus

And EDI was kind of a lame replacement for Legion IMO
