So I'm finishing up dragon age, FOR ONCE. I mean, there's a bunch of other games on my laptop, but Dragon age has been here for TWO YEARS and I've barely touched it. It's still p much as good as I remembered.

back to playing dungeon defenders on the ps3 with one of my homies. good game but i get bored of it fast :(

buying this next payday for an early bday gift :D just hope its still on sale still... but man im borrowing my buddies racing wheel for 360 right now.... and i can never... ever play a racing game without one again...

So I've just finished Jak And Daxter on the HD collection disc, it was as great as the first time I remembered it, and I COULD get the platinum since I'm pretty close, but /effort...

I started Jak II: Renegade about an hour and half ago, it's my first time playing the game (I'll admit, I own the first game, never played the second or third, this is probably why I rate the Ratchet series above it... maybe it'll change after Jak II and Jak 3?)

One word to describe my feelings so far: DAFUQ?!

It's gone from a bright and colourful platforming adventure game, to a dark and grimy GTA style action game... it even has a free roam around the city (Well, the first was SORT OF free roam) with multiple missions you can do at once, and then there's the ability to kill civilians and police... and theres guns... AND SWEARING?!... seriously, the fuck is going on here? And I really dislike Jak's voice so far, it's too... gravelly for his appearence... not sure what to think, I mean, a lot of people have praised the games for their direction, but so far I'm not liking it, I mean Jak isn't the kind of guy to steal a hover car, fly low and run people over, then crash it into another car to watch the explosion... and yet I've done that multiple times, it's just so... different.

Yeah it's freaking me out so much, like, the game isn't bad at all, but it's just... it's not Jak And Daxter, y'know? And playing the second game literally 30 seconds after finishing the first... it's just an awful transition! And there's NO FUCKING WAY Jak would look THAT much older, and talk the way he does, after just TWO YEARS in prison! DAFUQ NAUGHTY DOG, Y U NO KEEP JAK SAME?!

I can't say much regarding Jak's growth and such without revealing some spoilers, but there are some plot devices in effect that explain everything, if I'm remembering correctly. As for your platforming, you will get plenty of that later on. The environments in Jak 2 keep pretty gritty, with the exception of two I think, but Jak 3 has a lot of variation and a fuckton more platforming.

I just orderd my racing wheel today :D i got back the 300 bucks rogers owed me... so i just need to run to the bank and put that money on my credit card before they charge me... oh god i want the wheel NOW gonna be epic

Well I'm about halfway through Jak II right now, and so far, Ratchet > Jak, like SO much... Jak and Daxter: TPL is a BRILLIANT game (Always have loved it), But Jak II is just... dear god I don't want to carry on but I must... and the shooting sort of sucks balls to be honest...

Well I'm not the biggest fan of 2 it's still good, but 3 is just amazing.

Is 3 greater than or equal to 1? Because I LOVE the first game, the second one is just... dear god man, it's awful.

Well I liked both 1 and 2 just as much, but 3 is just a better version of 2. I'd say 3> 2=1

I don't remember very much about TPL, to tell you the truth. I maintain that Jak 3 is one of the best games of all time, although I'm not sure how much weight that holds. I liked Jak II so...yeah.

Jason Cottle did the voice for Cole in the first inFamous... Eric Ladin did the voice in the second, lol.

yeah thats why its wrong. cole is gonna be in the game but its eric ladin thats voicing.

How sure are you about that? Not that I'm doubting it, it'd be... awkward, bringing back the old voice actor, or in my opinion it would anyway, since Eric has done Cole more times anyways (Fesitval of Blood too... duh)

And it's not so much the voice actors I was looking at, but the list of characters themselves...

So... still playing Jak II, getting very close to the end of the game now, I've looked at a mission guide to see just how far I am, and the end is apparently close, hurray!

Although I will say, after playing it for 12 hours (My current playtime), after a certain part of the game, it's become a little more... I'd say enjoyable but I'm gonna' replace it with tolerable, the humour and storyline have gotten better for sure, although free roam open world mission based games generally have poor stories in my opinion, since it's hard to keep track of it all and they're never really related to each other, but on here it's getting better, especially with the revelation of some "new" characters. The shooting and driving mechanics are still driving me up the wall though, so, SO terrible! And the difficulty in some missions is insanely high compared to others, but meh.

Well I guess we can't all enjoy Jak II. I'm really anxious to hear what you think of Jak 3 though; it does quite a bit differently as far as transportation goes. How did you like the hoverboarding? I never really got into it but I thought it was decently executed.

I like the hoverboard, I like just randomly going around the city doing stunts and grinding and stuff, it's a nice touch actually... is it in Jak 3 at all?

Yeah. If I recall, you get the thing again relatively early on. It's really fun riding around in Spargus with it, since the architecture is less linear and there is more opportunity for coolness.
