i make enough money that spending $10 on a game does not even cause me to bat an eyelash. (that is not saying a lot! $10??? geez, to whom is that too much to spend)
the only things i pirate anymore are games made by huge corporations that are PROBABLY going to be utter shit (and if they aren't, I buy them anyway).

making what i do annually, i would have to be a real asshole to stiff small companies and indie studios out of money for products, especially when i claim to be pro-indie and that i like to make every effort to support small-time and independent game-devs.
(And, yes, Telltale is still in that category -- It is slowly shaping up to be nearly a medium-sized company in revenue, but it is not owned nor leased by any large, corporate entities.)

On the other hand I've been thinking about how to make a 2-d platformer battle arena game. It was, like, days before playing spelunky, but I was imagining the game to be a minecrafty/terraria mix, where you edit the field in the 30 seconds before battle, and then after playing spelunky, feels like it can take a lot from it.
Need to learn programming/game maker sometime.

Still playing FFT... I must have beaten it over 20 times, and I enter a certain battle and for some reason it takes days of training to win? Whoa. I'm must be rusty.

Just played the demo for Resistance Burning Skies... god damnit Mega, how can you say the game was great? It was god awful from what I played, the only good things were the graphics (Not amazing, but better than reviews are giving credit for), the controls were pretty well done I suppose, and that cool ass shotgun, everything else was fucking terrible, the sound effects were lame as fuck, the recoil on the Bullseye was nonexistant, yet on the Carbine was all over the place, the Chimera just... vanish... once you kill them (Well, they drop to the floor in a generic death animation (Not even ragdoll... I saw 3 do the EXACT same animation at the EXACT same time) and disappear like 2 seconds later, just poof into thin air, not even fade). Also what's with the terribly compressed cutscenes, there was so much artifacting going on, it was unreal, and it was only like 2D comic cutscenes... the fuck?! If I ever get this it'll only be once it's like a tenner or something, fuck paying £38 for it when the average Vita game is £30 anyway... although it DOES show that FPS games can be done on the Vita, hopefully the next ones will be done much MUCH better though...

demos normaly just plain suck... i loved the uncharcarted series BUT when i played the demo i was like .... wow this sucks! I mainly got it cause i got a raging boner for the resitance series... love the universe and what not... own the comic and the books love it all!
