This thread is going to be used for story ideas the game I'm currently working on in RMXP that for now is called Project Ogre (And will actually get a name unlike Project GRID, but that suits that game!), I'm about 20% done with the game now, although I'm going to be rewriting the story over the next couple of weeks/months/years, and hopefully get it all to fit together nicely.
The basic premise is that it's going to have both serious and light hearted tones, and based around either one or multiple ogres as the main character(s). At the moment I've only got one main character, but I'm thinking of adding an extra into the story who will be a companion of some kind, it may not even be another ogre either...
Another idea I'm thinking of is for the story itself, well currently, in a nutshell, here's what I've got so far, simplified ofcourse:
So you play as a big clumsy ogre, among an ogre tribe of some sort, and they've had to stop hunting for the summer and have it all stocked up for winter, however, your ogre, being the big dipshit (Probably kicked in the head by an ogre horse... lolwut) finds the food supply and eats it all (This is starting to sound like it's loosely based off Bugs Life, lol...) which obviously pisses off the other members of the tribe, and they banish him forever. From here, your ogre is trying to find a way back into the tribe.
It's not exactly going to be easy, since everywhere he goes for help, he feels like an outsider (Since everyone else is humans, but I've only done up to the first village so far) and people don't accept him (To be honest, a big dopey ogre wanting to be my friend? I'd rather not!), but where I'm wanting to rewrite a part of the story is here, instead of him doing it alone, he'll find another ogre who was banished from the tribe a long time ago, who set off on the same "quest" but gave up, or maybe a human will help him, I'm not 100% sure yet but either way I'm definitely considering the first one...
I'll add more to this later on, I'm just dumping what I have right now in here, so yeah, feel free to have a gander in and leave any ideas of your own or discuss mine, whatever floats your boat...
