Hi everyone. Which version do you like more? Does the template look better with sharper 3 colors or with several shades in-between?

My game's armor sprites are going to have about 4 shades per color, with 2 main colors. Hair will mostly be 4 shades of 1 color.

I honestly think that both look fine. I would just pick one style and then stick with it.

If you're only uses 4 colours for the armour then only using 3 (or 4) for the skin tones is probably best.

Location: In the dimension i was made in.
I would say stick with doing sharp defined color regions, But that's just my opinion.
In pixel art people seem to use just a few colors and the divide between them to define shapes at a distance
and having too many shades makes things appear to be merged.
